Intelligence Sharing Between US and Ukraine Suspended

US Ends Intelligence Cooperation with Ukraine

The United States has suspended intelligence-sharing and military aid to Ukraine, a decision announced by CIA Director John Ratcliffe on March 5, 2025. This move aims to pressure Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to engage in peace negotiations with Russia.

The suspension includes a halt to intelligence that Ukraine previously used to target Russian forces, potentially impacting Ukraine’s defense capabilities against Russian missile strikes.

The decision follows a heated exchange between Presidents Trump and Zelenskyy at the White House, where Trump expressed dissatisfaction with Ukraine’s commitment to peace efforts.

In response, President Zelenskyy has sent a letter to President Trump, expressing readiness to negotiate and proposing measures such as a truce and prisoner exchanges, reaffirming Ukraine’s commitment to peace.
