Jude Okoye Released from Ikoyi Detention Facility

P-Square Manager Jude Okoye Secures Bail Hearing

Jude Okoye, former manager of the Nigerian music duo P-Square, has been released from the Ikoyi Correctional Centre following the fulfillment of his bail conditions. Okoye had been in detention on charges related to an alleged N1.3 billion fraud.

On March 3, 2025, the Federal High Court in Lagos granted Okoye bail set at N100 million. The bail terms required two sureties, each owning property in Lagos valued at N100 million. Additionally, Okoye was mandated to surrender his international passport and is prohibited from traveling outside Nigeria without court approval.

During the bail hearing, Okoye’s brother, Paul Okoye (also known as Rudeboy), offered one of his properties in Ikoyi, Lagos, to meet the bail requirements, demonstrating familial support.

After meeting the stipulated conditions, Okoye was released from custody on March 6, 2025. His trial is scheduled to commence on April 14, 2025.
