Missing Boy Found After Seven Years: A Unsolved Mystery

Netflix’s Unsolved Mysteries: Boy Found After Long Absence

Abdul Aziz Khan, who was abducted at age seven in 2017 and featured in Netflix’s “Unsolved Mysteries,” has been found safe in Colorado after seven years. On February 23, 2025, deputies from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office responded to a burglary report at a vacant home in Highlands Ranch.

They encountered two adults and two children at the scene. One of the adults, Rabia Khalid, was identified as Abdul’s mother, who had allegedly abducted him from Atlanta, Georgia, following a custody dispute.

Khalid and her husband, Elliot Blake Bourgeois, were arrested on charges including second-degree kidnapping, forgery, and identity theft. Both are being held on a $1 million bond each, with a preliminary hearing set for March 27, 2025.

Abdul, now 14, and another child found with the couple have been placed in protective custody, awaiting court decisions regarding their placement. Abdul’s family has expressed immense relief and gratitude for his safe recovery, requesting privacy as they reunite and move forward.
