Ondo NSCDC Probes Officer for Disciplinary Measures

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Ondo State has issued a query to one of its officers following allegations of assaulting a 13-year-old student at Victory College, Ikare-Akoko.

The incident occurred on March 3, 2025, when the student accidentally injured a classmate during play. In response, the school principal, with assistance from the NSCDC officer, reportedly flogged the student, resulting in visible injuries on his back.

An Ondo-based blogger, Ogbeni OB Sugar, highlighted the incident on social media, drawing attention to the severity of the corporal punishment administered to the student.

The NSCDC has acknowledged the report and initiated an internal investigation into the matter. The officer involved has been queried, and appropriate actions will be taken based on the findings.
