On March 8, 2025, Alhaji Idris Abubakar, the chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in Kwara State, was tragically shot and killed by unidentified gunmen. The incident occurred around 10:00 p.m. at the entrance of his residence in Oke Ose, Oke-Oyi, Ilorin East Local Government Area.
