Fishermen’s Haul Takes Dark Turn with Body Discovery
On March 7, 2025, fishermen off the coast of Massachusetts, approximately 40 miles from Boston, discovered a decomposed body entangled in their fishing net.
The body was wrapped and in a state of decomposition, making it challenging to determine the individual’s identity, age, or gender at the time of discovery. The fishermen promptly notified the U.S. Coast Guard, and the Massachusetts State Police were the first to respond to the scene.
The Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office confirmed the discovery, stating that the body has been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy. The cause of death remains undetermined, and authorities have not yet concluded whether foul play was involved. The investigation is ongoing, with both the Coast Guard and local law enforcement agencies working to uncover more details about the deceased and the circumstances leading to this tragic find.
