Infidelity Leads to Fatal Attack in Akwa Ibom
In a tragic incident in Oron, Akwa Ibom State, a 42-year-old man named Victor Okoh allegedly murdered his wife, Victoria Okoh, over accusations of infidelity. On March 10, 2025, at approximately 5:20 a.m., police responded to a distress call and discovered Victoria’s mutilated body outside their residence.
Preliminary investigations suggest that Victor attacked his wife with a machete following allegations of unfaithfulness. Attempting to evade arrest, Victor hid in the ceiling of their home but was subsequently apprehended by the police.
The machete used in the crime was recovered, and Victoria’s body was taken to the General Hospital Morgue for an autopsy. The Commissioner of Police, Baba Azare, condemned the act and assured that justice would prevail.
