Yung Filly Denies Rape Charges in Australian Hotel Incident

Yung Filly’s Plea: Not Guilty to Rape Allegations

British YouTuber and rapper Yung Filly, born Andrés Felipe Valencia Barrientos, has pleaded not guilty to multiple charges, including rape, following his arrest in Australia. The 29-year-old is accused of assaulting a woman in her 20s in a Perth hotel room on September 28, 2024, after a performance at a nightclub. The charges against him include three counts of assault, one count of strangulation, and four counts of sexual penetration without consent.

At a recent court appearance, Barrientos was seen for the first time in five months. He remains free on bail of £52,000 (approximately $100,000 AUD), with strict conditions, including a ban on discussing the case on social media and contacting the alleged victim. The case has been adjourned to the District Court, with a trial mention scheduled for June 13, 2025.

In December 2024, while on bail, Barrientos pleaded guilty to reckless driving after being caught driving at 158 km/h (98 mph) in a 100 km/h zone. He faces potential penalties of up to nine months in prison, a fine of $6,000 AUD, and a driving ban of at least six months.

Yung Filly is known for his work with the Beta Squad, appearances in charity football matches, and hosting BBC shows. He has also won awards, including the MOBO Award for Best Media Personality in 2021.
