Bwala Reveals Peter Obi’s Presidential Plans
Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, has claimed that Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, will soon defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Bwala stated that Obi would not contest the 2027 presidential election under the Labour Party, suggesting that recent defections from the Labour Party to the APC, including that of Obi’s associate Valentine Ozigbo, indicate a trend that Obi is likely to follow.
Bwala remarked, “Do you know we are emptying the Labour Party? Not because we go and ask them to come; they are coming. Valentine Ozigbo has joined us. Balami has joined us. Even Peter Obi will join us.”
These statements have sparked discussions about potential political realignments ahead of the 2027 elections. However, neither Peter Obi nor the Labour Party have publicly responded to Bwala’s claims.
