Midnight Attacks in Kaduna: 10 Kidnapped, 2 Hurt
In the early hours of March 12, 2025, armed bandits launched coordinated attacks on three communities in Kaduna State’s Kajuru Local Government Area, resulting in the abduction of ten individuals and injuries to two others. The assailants first targeted Unguwan Yashi-Maraban Kajuru around 2 a.m., abducting six residents: God-Dream Ladan, Lady God-Dream, Philip Mudakas, Mercy Philip, Bitrus Philip, and Gmen Philip.
Subsequently, in Makyali village, the bandits injured two individuals, Ubale Yahaya and Abdullahi, who are currently receiving medical treatment at Maraban Kajuru Hospital. The assailants also kidnapped two females, Rahina Yahaya and Zulai Yahaya. Later, around 4 a.m., the bandits struck Ungwan Mudi Doka, abducting Amos Michael and Samita Amos.
Stephen Maikori, the Acting District Head of Kufana, confirmed the incidents, noting a resurgence in such attacks after a period of relative calm. He called for intensified security measures to protect residents and their property.
These incidents add to a series of abductions in the region. On March 8, bandits abducted seven individuals, including women and children, from Anchuna village in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area. A resident reported that the assailants stormed the village around 11 p.m., shooting sporadically before taking the victims.
