Help Needed: Locate Family of Children Abandoned in Nasarawa
The Nasarawa State Police Command is seeking public assistance to locate the families of two young girls found abandoned near Mararaba Junction in Karu Local Government Area. The children, identified as Fatima Isah (10 years old) and Halima Isah (8 years old), were discovered by a resident of Ungwan Gwandara on March 12, 2025, around 5:00 PM.
Upon interviewing the children, they revealed that they were taken from Kasuwan Bera, Jalingo, Taraba State, by an unknown driver and forcibly abandoned in Mararaba.
The police are urging anyone with information regarding the children’s families or the circumstances of their transportation to come forward. All information provided will be treated with utmost confidentiality.
Efforts are ongoing to trace the children’s families and investigate the circumstances surrounding their abandonment. The Nasarawa State Police Command reaffirms its commitment to ensuring the safety and protection of all residents, especially vulnerable children.
