Ambush on Kaduna-Abuja: Troops Neutralize Bandits
On March 12, 2025, Nigerian Army troops from Sub-Sector 4, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, conducted a successful ambush operation near Ngwagi Hill in the Gwagwada community, off the Kaduna-Abuja highway in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State. During this operation, three violent extremists and insurgents were neutralized, and a cache of arms and ammunition was recovered.
The Kaduna-Abuja highway has been notorious for banditry and kidnappings, making this operation a significant step toward improving security in the area. The Nigerian Army’s continued efforts aim to restore safety and public confidence for travelers along this critical route.
