Woman’s Fatal Encounter with Crocodile Captured on Video
A distressing incident unfolded recently when a crocodile dragged a woman to her death in a river, despite her friends’ desperate attempts to hold onto her.
Footage capturing the harrowing scene shows the crocodile swimming near the riverbank with the woman’s lifeless body, continuing to circle the waterway before submerging.
This tragic event is reminiscent of other crocodile attacks worldwide. In Indonesia, a five-year-old girl named Caca was killed by a crocodile after being snatched from the riverbank while bathing with her parents. Despite frantic rescue efforts, her body was recovered the following day.
Crocodile attacks, though rare, are particularly prevalent in regions where human activities intersect with crocodile habitats. Since 2014, Indonesia has reported over 478 fatalities and 531 injuries due to crocodile attacks, especially in areas near tin mining ponds.
