Daughter Signs Over Entire Estate of Dying Mother

Estate Transfer: Daughter Moves Dying Mother’s Hand

In a distressing case that has garnered significant attention, a daughter has been accused of manipulating her terminally ill mother into signing over her entire estate.

Margaret Baverstock, 76, who was suffering from advanced dementia and other health issues, was filmed in March 2021 as her daughter, Lisa, guided her hand to sign a will bequeathing the entirety of Margaret’s £700,000 estate to Lisa, excluding her son, John.

The video evidence, presented in court, depicted Lisa physically assisting her mother’s hand to sign the document, while Margaret appeared unresponsive, only able to utter simple affirmations like “yeah.”

The court ruled the will invalid, stating that Margaret lacked the mental capacity to understand the document’s contents at the time of signing. Consequently, the estate was ordered to be divided equally between Lisa and John, and Lisa was directed to cover John’s legal expenses.

This is the dramatic moment a daughter clasped her dying mother’s hand, forced a pen into it, and ‘propelled’ her to sign a $900,000 fortune to her. Margaret Baverstock, 76, was so ill she could ‘barely flicker an eyelid’ in March 2021 when she was ‘forced’ to sign a will by her daughter Lisa. The cold-hearted act resulted in her older brother John Baverstock, 61, being cut out of Margaret’s estate with everything left to Lisa, resulting in a legal battle between the siblings. #news #crime #family
