Jandor Joins APC: A Major Political Shift

Political Landscape Changes as Jandor Defects to APC

Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, widely known as Jandor, has officially defected from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC). At a press conference in Ikeja, Lagos, Jandor expressed his commitment to contributing to Lagos State’s development and emphasized the importance of unity among progressives to achieve the populace’s aspirations.

In the 2023 gubernatorial elections, Jandor was the PDP’s candidate, finishing third behind incumbent Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the APC and Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party. His decision to rejoin the APC follows extensive consultations and reflects his belief that the party offers a viable platform to deliver effective governance to Lagosians.

Jandor’s return to the APC is also attributed to efforts by key figures, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, and Seyi Tinubu, the President’s son, who played significant roles in facilitating his move.
