Tragic Discovery: Twin Brothers Dead in Georgia Mountains
Twin brothers Qaadir Malik Lewis and Naazir Rahim Lewis, both 19, were found deceased from gunshot wounds on Bell Mountain in Hiawassee, Georgia, on March 8, 2025, a day after missing their flight to Boston.
A hiker discovered their bodies around 11:05 a.m., prompting an investigation by the Towns County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI).
The GBI’s preliminary findings suggest a possible murder-suicide; however, autopsy results are pending further forensic analysis. Family members dispute this theory, emphasizing the twins’ close bond and lack of known connections to the Bell Mountain area, approximately 90 miles from their Lawrenceville home.
They have initiated a GoFundMe campaign to cover funeral expenses and are seeking comprehensive answers regarding the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
