Katsina University Students Abducted by Bandits

On the night of Tuesday, March 18, 2025, armed bandits abducted two students from the Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA) in Katsina State. The incident occurred in the Bayan Gidan Radio area of Dutsin-Ma town.

This abduction follows a similar incident approximately two weeks prior, where four students from the same university were kidnapped. In that case, one student was subsequently rescued, while efforts to secure the release of the remaining three are ongoing.

The recent uptick in kidnappings in Katsina State has raised significant concerns about the safety of students and residents. Authorities are intensifying efforts to address the security challenges in the region and ensure the safe return of the abducted individuals.
