British Rapper DigDat Convicted of Attempted Murder

DigDat Found Guilty: Attempted Murder in Drive-By Shooting

British rapper Nathan Tokosi, professionally known as DigDat, has been found guilty of attempted murder following a drive-by shooting in Notting Hill, West London. The incident occurred on November 20, 2023, when 27-year-old Daniel Offei-Ntow was shot multiple times while seated in his car. Prosecutors described Mr. Offei-Ntow as “lucky not to die” from his injuries.

The attack took place around 2:05 a.m., with at least six shots fired from a stolen Audi that pulled up beside Mr. Offei-Ntow’s Mitsubishi. The victim sustained gunshot wounds to his head, mouth, and body. Following the shooting, he managed to return to his nearby flat, where authorities later found him severely injured and in shock.

Investigations led to the discovery of a latex glove and a black bag containing a firearm and ammunition near the abandoned Audi. DNA evidence linked Tokosi to the vehicle. Further inquiries revealed that Tokosi had borrowed a BMW to make trips from his father’s home in Deptford to Notting Hill on consecutive nights leading up to the shooting.

Detective Constable Hannah Forrest of the Metropolitan Police’s Specialist Crime South team described the attack as “savage,” noting that the victim required emergency surgery for his injuries. She emphasized that such violent criminality would not be tolerated on London’s streets.

DigDat gained prominence in the UK drill music scene with his single “Air Force,” which peaked at number 20 on the UK Singles Chart. He showed no reaction as the jury delivered the unanimous guilty verdicts at the Old Bailey. Sentencing has been adjourned to a date yet to be fixed.
