Cassie Defends Diddy Against Kanye West's Controversial Post

Cassie’s Response to Kanye: Standing Up for Diddy

Cassie Ventura has subtly responded to Kanye West’s recent social media posts defending Sean “Diddy” Combs against abuse allegations and accusing her of extortion. On March 19, 2025, Cassie reshared an Instagram post from rapper Playboi Carti that read, “YE STFU,” implying that Kanye should refrain from commenting on the matter.

This response follows Kanye’s now-deleted tweets from March 18, where he questioned the backlash against Diddy, stating, “HOW EVERY N—- YOU KNOW HIT A GIRL BEFORE BUT EVERYBODY SO MAD AT PUFF,” and accused Cassie of attempting to extort $30 million from Diddy by threatening to release a tell-all book.

Cassie and Diddy were in an on-and-off relationship from 2007 to 2018. In November 2023, Cassie filed a lawsuit against Diddy, accusing him of rape, physical abuse, and other forms of misconduct during their relationship. Diddy denied these allegations, and the case was settled out of court the following day.

Currently, Diddy is incarcerated, facing charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and prostitution, with a trial scheduled for May 2025.

Kanye West has publicly supported Diddy amid these allegations, previously tweeting “FREE PUFF” and criticizing those distancing themselves from Diddy.
