DOJ Busts Rollin’ 60s Crips: Big U’s Shocking Revelation
Eugene “Big U” Henley Jr., a prominent Los Angeles music executive and longtime leader of the Rollin’ 60s Neighborhood Crips, has been charged with operating a criminal enterprise involving murder, human trafficking, extortion, and fraud. Federal authorities are actively searching for Henley, 58, who remains at large following the unsealing of a federal complaint.
The complaint alleges that Henley orchestrated a “mafia-like” operation, leveraging his status within the gang and the entertainment industry to commit various crimes. Notably, he is accused of the 2021 murder of an aspiring rapper, identified as “R.W.,” who was signed to his label, Uneek Music. The victim was found deceased in the Nevada desert after reportedly recording a song critical of Henley.
Henley also allegedly exploited his non-profit organization, Developing Options—purportedly an anti-gang charity—as a facade for fraudulent activities, including embezzlement and insulating gang operations from law enforcement scrutiny.
If convicted, Henley faces a maximum sentence of life imprisonment. Authorities urge anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact law enforcement immediately.
