White Model Plans Nose Surgery and Move to Africa
Martina Big, a 36-year-old German model, has garnered significant attention for her transformation through extensive tanning injections and surgeries, leading her to identify as a Black woman. She and her husband, Michael Eurwen, who also undergoes skin-darkening treatments, have announced plans to relocate to Africa, citing a deep connection to the continent.
Before their move, Martina intends to undergo additional cosmetic procedures, including buttock augmentation and a nose-widening surgery, to align more closely with her self-identified Black identity.
In 2018, during a visit to Kenya, Martina was baptized under the Swahili name “Malaika Kubwa,” meaning “Big Angel.” She claims to have felt a warm reception during her African visits and believes she will be embraced by local communities upon relocating.
However, her transformation has sparked widespread criticism, with many accusing her of cultural appropriation and insensitivity. Critics argue that her actions perpetuate harmful stereotypes and trivialize the experiences of Black individuals. Despite the backlash, Martina remains resolute in her identity and relocation plans.
