Four Buses Carrying Military Officers Crash Near Paris

Over 100 Military Officers Involved in Paris Bus Accident

​On March 19, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred on the A13 motorway near Guerville, approximately 36 miles west of Paris, involving four buses transporting military personnel. The collision resulted in at least 36 injuries, including one individual in serious condition.

The buses were carrying around 200 soldiers, including cadets from various branches of the military, returning from a visit to the Évreux air base. The incident reportedly occurred when a smaller vehicle attempted to maneuver between the buses, leading to the collision.

Emergency services responded promptly, deploying approximately 50 firefighters and numerous medical personnel to the scene. The injured were transported to nearby hospitals, with the individual in serious condition taken to a trauma center in Paris. Uninjured cadets were evacuated from the scene using replacement buses.

France’s Minister of the Armed Forces, Sébastien Lecornu, expressed his thoughts for the injured and their families, extending gratitude to the emergency services for their swift response. ​

Authorities have declared a mass-casualty event and are conducting an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
