Sia’s Second Marriage Ends: Divorce Filed After Two Years
Australian singer-songwriter Sia has filed for divorce from her husband, Daniel Bernard, after nearly two years of marriage. The filing, made in Los Angeles Superior Court, cites irreconcilable differences and lists March 18, 2025, as the separation date.
The couple welcomed a son, Somersault Wonder Bernard, born on March 27, 2024. Sia is seeking legal and physical custody of their 11-month-old child, allowing visitation rights for Bernard, and has requested no spousal support payments.
Sia and Bernard were legally married in December 2022, followed by an intimate ceremony in Portofino, Italy, in May 2023. Prior to this marriage, Sia was married to filmmaker Erik Anders Lang from 2014 to 2017.
In 2019, Sia adopted two teenage boys who were aging out of the foster care system. She became a grandmother in 2020 when one of her sons welcomed twins.
The 49-year-old artist has been nominated for nine Grammy Awards, including five nominations for her 2014 hit “Chandelier.”
