Interior Minister: Nigeria Will Apprehend All Wanted Persons
Nigeria’s Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has asserted that no wanted individuals can enter Nigeria without being apprehended, highlighting the government’s commitment to national security.
This statement aligns with recent actions by Nigerian authorities. In December 2024, at least 10 individuals on INTERPOL’s watch list were arrested upon entering Nigeria, facilitated by the implementation of e-gates at five international airports.
These automated border control systems are integrated with INTERPOL data and other security agencies, enhancing the country’s ability to detect and apprehend fugitives.
