Tinubu's 2027 Re-election: Ganduje's Bold Statement

Ganduje: No Opposition Can Halt Tinubu’s 2027 Bid

All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, has confidently asserted that no political coalition or opposition can prevent President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.

This statement comes in response to the recent formation of a coalition by prominent political figures, including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, and Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate Peter Obi, aiming to challenge the APC in the upcoming election.

Ganduje dismissed the coalition as a convergence of individuals lacking a unified political base and coherent ideology, suggesting that their differing interests would hinder any effective challenge to President Tinubu’s administration. He emphasized that the APC remains robust and that President Tinubu’s performance since taking office has solidified his position for a second term.

Highlighting the APC’s confidence, Ganduje stated that the party is not threatened by these political maneuvers and is focused on delivering on its promises to the Nigerian people. He reiterated his belief that President Tinubu’s achievements will secure him a second term in 2027, regardless of any opposition alliances.

The emergence of this opposition coalition mirrors past political realignments in Nigeria, notably the 2013 coalition that led to the APC’s rise to power. However, Ganduje remains unperturbed, expressing confidence that history will not repeat itself in this instance.

As the political landscape evolves, the APC leadership appears resolute in its stance, anticipating that President Tinubu will secure re-election in 2027, undeterred by the newly formed opposition coalition.
