Three People Injured After IED Detonation in Yobe – Latest Updates

​On Saturday, March 22, 2025, an undetonated Improvised Explosive Device (IED) exploded in Ngomari Community, Buni Yadi, the headquarters of Gujba Local Government Area in Yobe State, Nigeria, injuring three individuals.

The incident occurred when a 22-year-old man discovered live ammunition and four rounds of AK-47 bullets while collecting firewood.

Curiously, he attempted to open the ammunition using a hammer, which triggered the explosion. The young man and two others nearby sustained varying degrees of injuries.

The victims were promptly transported to Yobe State Specialist Hospital in Buni Yadi for medical treatment.
