Their itinerary features a tour of a U.S. military base and attendance at Greenland’s national dogsled race. Outgoing Prime Minister Múte Egede condemned the visit as “highly aggressive,” emphasizing that the caretaker government will not engage with the delegation.
Jens-Frederik Nielsen, leader of the Democrats, echoed this sentiment, criticizing the timing amid Greenland’s political transitions and ongoing coalition talks. He described the visit as disrespectful and a demonstration of power.
