
Borno Military Formations Targeted by Boko Haram Raids
On March 24, 2025, Boko Haram terrorists attacked two military formations in Borno State, Nigeria. The targeted locations were the Wajirko army base in Damboa Local Government Area and another formation in Wulgo village, Gamboru Ngala Local Government Area. These attacks resulted in the deaths of at least two soldiers, with several others injured.
Senator Ali Ndume expressed deep concern over the escalating insecurity in Borno State, highlighting that multiple communities, including Gwoza, Askira-Uba, Chibok, Damboa, Biu, and Hawul, have been experiencing a series of attacks, destruction, and looting of property without adequate confrontation by security forces.
Boko Haram, officially known as Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati wal-Jihad, is a terrorist organization based in northeastern Nigeria. The group has been responsible for numerous attacks in the region, aiming to establish an Islamic state.
