Russian Missile Attack Injures 88 in Ukraine, 17 Children Hurt

88 Injured in Ukraine Missile Strike, Including 17 Kids

A recent Russian missile attack on the northeastern Ukrainian city of Sumy has resulted in injuries to at least 88 individuals, including 17 children.

The strike targeted a densely populated area, affecting residential buildings and educational facilities. Local authorities reported that the attack occurred despite ongoing peace negotiations between Russia and the United States in Saudi Arabia.

Regional governor Volodymyr Artiukh noted that more children could have been harmed if not for timely evacuations to air raid shelters. The assault has drawn sharp criticism from Ukrainian officials, who accuse Moscow of insincerity in its peace overtures.
