Nollywood Controversy: Hanks Anuku on Envy and Diabolism
Veteran Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku has recently opened up about his challenging experiences within the Nigerian film industry, alleging that some of his colleagues engaged in diabolical practices and resorted to blackmail out of envy and jealousy.
In a candid interview on the “Nollywood Hardcore” podcast with fellow actor Emma Labista, Anuku reflected on the adversities he faced during his career. He stated, “There was a bit of diabolism in the industry. Some people were diabolical, some were envious and jealous of my shine then. I was blackmailed.”
Anuku emphasized the importance of love and unity among colleagues, urging individuals to support and uplift one another rather than resorting to condemnation. He remarked, “We are not meant to be condemned; we are meant to be loved… we need to learn how to love one another.”
