Bauchi Governor Urged to Assist Families of Kidnapped Kids
Parents of nine kidnapped children in Bauchi State have appealed to Governor Bala Mohammed for assistance in securing the release of their children. The parents made this plea during a press conference in Bauchi, expressing their distress over the abductions and urging the state government to intervene.
This incident highlights the ongoing challenges of child abduction and trafficking in the region. In a previous case, three children abducted from Bauchi State and trafficked to Anambra State were successfully rescued and reunited with their families through the combined efforts of the Bauchi and Anambra State Police Commands, supported by the Office of the First Lady and the Gender-Based Violence Committee.
The parents of the currently kidnapped children are hopeful that similar collaborative efforts will lead to the safe return of their loved ones. They have called on the state government and security agencies to intensify their efforts in combating child abduction and ensuring the safety of all children in the state.
Governor Bala Mohammed has previously demonstrated commitment to addressing child abduction issues, as evidenced by his involvement in reuniting abducted children with their families. The affected families are now seeking his intervention to bring their children back home safely.
