Ekiti Armed Robbery: Death Sentence for Two Men
An Ekiti State High Court in Ado-Ekiti has sentenced two men, Olusegun Folorunso (53) and Ajayi Dele (51), to death by hanging for armed robbery. The duo was convicted on charges of conspiracy and armed robbery, stemming from an incident on August 24, 2022, along the Erio-Ekiti road.
During the robbery, they were armed with guns and cutlasses and stole an ash-colored Hyundai Sonata, a laptop, and mobile phones from one Ajogbeje Ayodeji. They also robbed Oluwasegun Oke of his phone on the same day.
Justice Olusegun Ogunyemi, presiding over the case, sentenced both men to ten years imprisonment for conspiracy and decreed death by hanging for the armed robbery charges.
