UEFA Probes Real Madrid Stars for Indecent Conduct

Antonio Rudiger, Mbappe, Ceballos, Vinicius Jr Under Scrutiny

UEFA has initiated an investigation into Real Madrid players Kylian Mbappé, Vinícius Júnior, Antonio Rüdiger, and Dani Ceballos for alleged inappropriate conduct during their celebrations following the Champions League Round of 16 match against Atlético Madrid on March 12, 2025.

The inquiry focuses on specific actions by these players:

  • Antonio Rüdiger: Allegedly made a throat-slitting gesture towards Atlético supporters.
  • Kylian Mbappé: Accused of making an inappropriate gesture by touching his private parts, an action reminiscent of a previous incident involving Diego Simeone.
  • Vinícius Júnior: Reportedly engaged in provocative behavior towards the opposing fans during and after the match.
  • Dani Ceballos: Allegedly directed inappropriate gestures at Atlético supporters.

These actions have prompted UEFA’s Ethics and Disciplinary Inspector to examine potential breaches of disciplinary regulations.

The outcome of this investigation could lead to sanctions, including fines or suspensions, potentially impacting Real Madrid’s lineup for their upcoming Champions League quarter-final matches against Arsenal on April 8 and 16.

Real Madrid has yet to issue an official response regarding the investigation. UEFA has stated that further information will be provided as the inquiry progresses.
