Babysitter Uncovers Truth Behind Child’s “Monster” Fear
In a startling incident near Great Bend, Kansas, a babysitter’s routine check for “monsters” under a child’s bed led to the discovery of a man hiding beneath it. On the night of March 24, 2025, around 10:30 p.m., while preparing the children for bed, one child expressed fear of a “monster” in the room. Attempting to reassure the child, the babysitter looked under the bed and unexpectedly encountered 27-year-old Martin Villalobos Jr.
An altercation ensued between Villalobos and the babysitter, during which one of the children was knocked over. Villalobos fled the scene before deputies from the Barton County Sheriff’s Office arrived. The following morning, deputies located and arrested Villalobos after a brief foot chase.
Villalobos had previously lived at the residence but was under a protection from abuse order, prohibiting him from being on the property. He now faces multiple charges, including aggravated kidnapping, aggravated burglary, aggravated battery, child endangerment, felony obstruction of a law enforcement officer, and violation of the protection order. He is currently held at the Barton County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
