
Forbes 2025: Billionaires List Features Dangote, Rabiu, Otedola
According to the Forbes 2025 Billionaires List, four Nigerian businessmen have been recognized among Africa’s wealthiest individuals:
- Aliko Dangote: Maintains his position as Africa’s richest person for the 14th consecutive year, with an estimated net worth of $23.9 billion. This marks a significant increase from $13.9 billion the previous year, largely attributed to the valuation of his refinery project near Lagos, which commenced operations in early 2024.
- Mike Adenuga: The founder of Globacom and Conoil, Adenuga holds the fifth spot on the African list and is the second among Nigerian billionaires.
- Abdulsamad Rabiu: Founder of BUA Group, Rabiu’s net worth is estimated at $8.1 billion, placing him sixth in Africa and third in Nigeria.
- Femi Otedola: The chairman of Geregu Power, Otedola ranks 16th on the African list and fourth among Nigerian billionaires.
The 2025 list features 22 African billionaires with a combined net worth of $105 billion, an increase from $82.4 billion the previous year. South Africa leads with seven billionaires, while Nigeria and Egypt each have four.
