Farmer Remanded After Setting Brother’s Farm on Fire

​A 56-year-old farmer from Ondo State, Oyinlola Jacob, has been remanded at the Olokuta Correctional Centre for allegedly setting his brother’s farm ablaze, causing damage estimated at ₦20 million.

The incident reportedly occurred following a dispute between the siblings over land ownership. Jacob was arraigned before an Akure Magistrate’s Court on charges of arson and malicious damage.

The presiding magistrate ordered his remand pending further investigation and adjourned the case to April 15, 2025, for hearing
