Ford SUV Recall: 105,000 Vehicles Affected

105,000 Ford SUVs Recalled: Safety Information Inside

Ford Motor Company is recalling approximately 105,322 SUVs due to a potential seat belt malfunction. The recall affects Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator models from the 2018 to 2020 model years.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) identified that the seat belt pretensioners for the driver and front passenger may inadvertently lock, potentially preventing the seat belts from retracting or extending properly, which could increase the risk of injury in a crash.

Ford dealers will inspect the seat belt retractor date codes and replace any affected parts at no cost to vehicle owners.

Vehicle owners can check if their SUV is included in this recall by visiting the NHTSA’s recall website and entering their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). For further assistance, owners can contact Ford customer service or the NHTSA vehicle safety hotline.
