Top Nigerian Gospel Acts on YouTube: Q1 2025 Highlights
In the first quarter of 2025, Nigerian gospel artists Nathaniel Bassey, Mercy Chinwo, and Moses Bliss achieved remarkable streaming figures on YouTube Music, securing positions among the top 20 most-streamed Nigerian artists globally.
Nathaniel Bassey amassed 52.8 million streams, with standout tracks like “Yahweh Sabaoth” (25 million plays), “TOBECHUKWU” featuring Mercy Chinwo Blessed (39 million plays), and “Jesus Iye” (32 million plays).
Mercy Chinwo followed closely with 46.4 million streams; her song “Excess Love” has garnered a total of 133 million plays.
Moses Bliss also made the list with 41.5 million streams.
These achievements highlight the growing global appreciation for Nigerian gospel music. In comparison, leading Nigerian artists in the same period include Rema with 223 million streams, Burna Boy with 171 million, and Ayra Starr with 169 million.
