Super Eagles Striker Sadiq Umar: Valencia’s Next Target
Valencia CF are considering converting the loan of Nigerian striker Sadiq Umar into a permanent transfer. Since joining on loan from Real Sociedad in January 2025, Sadiq has made a significant impact, scoring five goals that have been instrumental in lifting Valencia out of the relegation zone.
The proposed deal involves a transfer fee of €9 million, structured over multiple installments, with an initial payment of €1.8 million due in July. Additional performance-based bonuses are also included in the agreement.
Valencia’s management, including club president Kiat Lim, have been impressed by Sadiq’s contributions and are inclined to secure his services permanently. However, the final decision hinges on approval from the club’s ownership in Singapore.
Sadiq’s performance has not only endeared him to the coaching staff and teammates but has also made him a fan favorite at Mestalla. His potential permanent signing is viewed as a strategic move to bolster Valencia’s attacking options for future campaigns.
