2027 Election: Sowore Rejects Atiku, Obi Alliance

Omoyele Sowore, the convener of the Take-it-Back Movement, has firmly rejected the idea of joining a coalition between former presidential candidates Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a recent appearance on Arise TV’s “Politics Today,” Sowore expressed his reservations about such alliances, stating that similar coalitions in the past have led to unsatisfactory outcomes. He emphasized that the real change Nigeria needs can only come from uniting the oppressed, rather than aligning with the same political figures who have contributed to the nation’s current challenges.

Sowore also dismissed rumors about joining the Social Democratic Party (SDP), clarifying, “I’m not part of those playing chess with the destiny of Nigerians.”

This stance highlights Sowore’s commitment to his political ideology and his skepticism towards traditional political alliances, as Nigeria approaches the 2027 elections.
