Super Eagles Star Chukwueze on Milan’s Exit Radar
Samuel Chukwueze, the Nigerian winger who joined AC Milan from Villarreal in July 2023, has encountered challenges securing a regular spot in the team’s starting lineup. This has led to speculation about his potential departure from the club.
Reports indicate that AC Milan is open to offloading Chukwueze in the upcoming summer transfer window. Italian transfer expert Nicolò Schira noted that the club no longer considers him central to their plans, suggesting he could be sold to make way for new signings.
Several clubs have shown interest in acquiring Chukwueze. Turkish side Beşiktaş has reportedly initiated discussions, with head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjær approving a potential move. The proposed deal involves an initial loan with a compulsory purchase option.
In addition to Beşiktaş, Premier League clubs such as Aston Villa, West Ham United, and Fulham have expressed interest in the winger. Aston Villa’s manager, Unai Emery, previously worked with Chukwueze at Villarreal, potentially giving them an advantage in securing his services.
Chukwueze’s contract with AC Milan extends until June 2028, and the club is reportedly seeking a transfer fee between €13 million and €18 million. Despite his limited impact at Milan, his talent continues to attract attention from various European clubs.
As the summer transfer window approaches, Chukwueze’s future remains uncertain, with multiple clubs monitoring his situation closely.
