
Remarkable Twins Graduate as Top Students with Same CGPA
Twin brothers Busoye Opegbemi Mathias and Busoye Tolulope Mathew have achieved remarkable academic success at the University of Ibadan (UI). Graduating from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, both secured first-class honors with an identical Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.94 out of 4.00.
Their consistent excellence was evident throughout their academic journey:
- 100 Level: Mathias had a CGPA of 3.84, while Mathew achieved 3.89.
- 200 Level: Mathias scored 3.92, and Mathew 3.94.
- 300 Level: Mathias earned 3.95; Mathew, 3.93.
- 400 Level: Both maintained high standards with Mathias at 3.94 and Mathew at 3.93.
- 500 Level: They concluded their studies with a CGPA of 3.94 each.
Beyond academics, the brothers demonstrated leadership: Mathias served as the Honourable Speaker of the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) during the 11th Assembly, and Mathew presided as the President of the Society of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Students (SEEEES-UI) for the 2023/2024 session.
