Kidnappers Execute APC Director After N90m Ransom Paid
The All Progressives Congress (APC) is in mourning following the tragic death of its Director of Administration, Dr. Abdulrauf Adekunle Adeniji. Dr. Adeniji was abducted on January 26, 2025, alongside his wife and brother.
Tragically, his wife was shot dead during the abduction due to her inability to keep pace with the kidnappers. Despite the payment of a ₦90 million ransom, the kidnappers murdered Dr. Adeniji, concealing his death while continuing to negotiate for additional ransom payments.
In response to this devastating event, the APC has shut down its national secretariat in Abuja, known as Buhari House, until Monday, April 14, 2025. All flags at the secretariat are to fly at half-mast during this period of mourning.
Dr. Adeniji, a native of Ife Central Local Government Area in Osun State, held a Ph.D. in Public Administration. He previously served as an Assistant Registrar at Obafemi Awolowo University and was a former Chairman of Ife Local Government Council. His contributions to the APC and Nigerian politics are deeply appreciated, and his loss is profoundly felt across the nation.
