Kaduna Pastor Released by Kidnappers, Church Official Detained
Pastor Samson Ndah Ali, a 30-year-old cleric with the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) in Mararaba Aboro, Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State, was abducted from his residence in the early hours of April 8, 2025.
The kidnappers initially demanded a ransom of ₦100 million for his release.
Following negotiations, the ransom amount was reportedly reduced, and Pastor Ali was freed. However, the kidnappers detained the church’s financial secretary, Yusuf Shehu Ambi, who had delivered the ransom.
Ambi discovered Pastor Ali’s abduction when he arrived at the pastor’s residence and found the doors wide open, with the pastor missing.
