Anambra Community on Edge as Gunmen Kidnap Three
Gunmen have abducted three individuals in the Nkpologwu-Akpo area of Anambra State.
The victims, who had returned to attend a community event, were taken at different locations along the road.
Reports indicate that the abductors intercepted their vehicles, forcing one to somersault during the pursuit.
The victims include two people based in Abuja and one from Port Harcourt.
Anambra police spokesperson Tochukwu Ikenga confirmed the incident, stating that investigations and rescue operations are underway.
However, the kidnappers have not yet made any contact or ransom demands.
This abduction follows a recent attack on a police checkpoint in the state, raising security concerns in the region.
