Passenger Jailed for Assaulting FRSC Officers: Ekiti Court Ruling Explained
A court in Oye Ekiti, Ekiti State, has sentenced a man named Kazeem Abdullahi to one month in prison for assaulting Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officers.

The incident occurred in April 2024 while the officers were performing their duties on the Oye-Ifaki road.
Abdullahi was charged with assaulting the officers, violating Section 187 of the Ekiti State Criminal Law (2021).
However, given his status as a first-time offender and his apology to the FRSC, the court offered him an option of paying a fine of N5,000 instead of serving jail time.
