John Dumelo, the popular Ghanaian actor-turned-politician, has announced his confidence in securing victory in the 2024 parliamentary elections for the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency.
Dumelo is once again contesting the seat against the incumbent, Lydia Alhassan, after narrowly losing to her in 2020.
In the run-up to the elections, Dumelo has expressed optimism about his chances, citing the lessons he learned from his previous campaign.
He believes these improvements, combined with a targeted strategy that leverages his opponent’s weaknesses, will help him win this time around.
Dumelo has set a goal of capturing over 60% of the votes in the upcoming election.
The special voting exercise, which began on December 2, 2024, saw Dumelo casting his vote, and he remains confident that the momentum from his improved campaign strategies will lead to a positive result on December 7.
