Taliban Official Among Victims in Deadly Kabul Suicide Attack
A suicide bombing in Kabul has killed Khalil Haqqani, the Taliban’s refugee minister.
This attack marks the most high-profile casualty for the Taliban since they returned to power in 2021.
The explosion occurred as Haqqani was leaving his office, and six others also died in the blast. The Taliban have accused Islamic State militants of carrying out the attack.
