Operation Whirl Stroke: Key Arrests in Taraba’s Fight Against Terrorism
In a recent operation in Taraba State, Nigerian Army troops from the 6 Brigade and Sector 3 of Operation Whirl Stroke successfully apprehended three suspected bandits along with a key logistics supplier linked to terrorist activities.
The suspects, identified as Adamu Abubakar, Mohammed Bello, and Musa Adamu, were arrested in Andamin village, located in the Karim Lamido Local Government Area.
This operation was part of ongoing efforts to dismantle criminal networks operating in the region.
Additionally, in a separate operation in Bunka village within Lau LGA, troops arrested Musa Inusa, a key logistics supplier who was providing essential supplies to terrorist groups.
His arrest is expected to disrupt the supply chain and weaken the operational capabilities of these groups. Items recovered from the suspects included a jack-knife, cash, and suspected illicit drugs.
These arrests mark a significant step forward in curbing banditry and terrorism in Taraba and surrounding areas.
