Prince Andrew’s Company Registration Scandal: What the Police Report Reveals
Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, has been reported to the Metropolitan Police by the anti-monarchy group Republic for allegedly using a false name, “Andrew Inverness,” to register a private investment firm.
The company in question, Naples Gold Limited, was established in 2003 in collaboration with sports retail tycoon Johan Eliasch, with Prince Andrew listed as a “consultant” on official documents.
Republic’s chief executive, Graham Smith, filed the complaint, asserting that the use of a pseudonym and a false residential address in official filings may constitute a violation of the Companies Act 2006.
The Metropolitan Police are currently assessing the report to determine whether further action is warranted.
This development adds to the scrutiny surrounding Prince Andrew’s financial dealings, following recent controversies over his associations and the dissolution of his private investment firm, Urramoor Limited.
The Duke of York has faced multiple scandals in recent years, including his connections to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and allegations of financial irregularities.
